Hi and welcome to the island of Brännskär!

You have booked a stay at Brännskär's Glamping tents, here is information about the island and your stay. The tent is located on top of a cliff with a view of the sea, the horizon, and the forest. Everything needed for your overnight stay is prepared and ready. You also have the option to book a sauna, order breakfast to the tent, or sign up for a guided tour.

 

How to find us:

By car or bicycle: You can leave your car at Kirjais Port (Österuddsvägen 29, Nagu). When you arrive at the harbor area, park your car on the right side, as the left side is private. You can leave your bicycle at the harbor or bring it with you on the connecting boat. Then take the ferries M/S Falkö or M/S Chéri to the island of Brännskär.

By public transport: You can take the bus, archipelago buses 901-904, from Åbo center to Pärnäs. There is a boat connection from Pärnäs according to the timetable on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The connecting boat M/S Chéri will take you to the island of Brännskär.

Boat connections: The ferry connections to Brännskär are free of charge, operate according to the timetable, and need to be booked by phone no later than 4:00 PM the day before. If the ferry timetables do not suit you, you can book a spot for our boat transportation between June 15th and August 30th. The boat operates on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, departing from Brännskär to Kirjais at 1:30 PM and from Kirjais to Brännskär at 2:00 PM. The price is €40 per cottage booking, one way. Transportation during other times is provided by Sjövägen Ab.

Accomodation

• Check-in between 15:00-21:00 / Check-out between 08:00-12:00

• Sheets and towels are available and included in the price.

• The price for one night includes the entire tent with 2 sleeping spots. Extra beds cost €15/night (maximum 2 extra beds).

• From the tent, you have a view of the sea and the forest.

• The Glamping site is located 500 meters from the reception. The trail is well-marked and goes through the forest to your accommodation.

• There is no direct heat source in the tent, so the accommodation is only available during the summer season.

• There are power outlets, and lighting in the tent. Electricity can be used for charging small electronics. Cold storage available in the bigger tents.

• Outdoor cooking equipment is included (a complete Trangia gas stove, coffee/tea kettle, utensils, mugs, knives, and cutting board), but gas is not included. It can be rented from us for €10/day.

• Next to the tents, there is an outdoor toilet and facilities for handwashing and dishwashing. There are several toilets at the reception, as well as a hot water spot for dishwashing. All utensils should be washed, trash emptied, and sheets gathered in a pile before check-out.

 

• Shower facilities are available at the service building, located 300 meters from the Glamping site.

• There are several outdoor barbeque areas available on the island. Always ask for more information at the reception before use.

• Fresh drinking water is available at the tent and can be refilled at a water post close to the tents.

• There are 3 rental saunas on the island. Contact us on-site or before your arrival at Brännskär to book the sauna. During peak season, it is advisable to book one day in advance to ensure availability. 

 

Breakfast

• Breakfast service is available from June 1st to August 31st, from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.

• Breakfast costs €12 per adult and €8 per child (under 15 years old).

• You can also order breakfast delivered to your tent for €20 per person

• In May and September, breakfast is available on weekends.

• For groups of more than 8 people, please contact us if you would like to arrange breakfast at different times of the year, and we will try to accommodate your request.

 

Things to do on Brännskär:

• On Brännskär, you can walk along the nature trail, enjoy the sauna, and go fishing. There is also a swimming beach, a barbeque area, disc golf, outdoor games, and access to a rowing boat. During the peak season, from May 1st to September 30th, kayak, SUP board, and fishing equipment rentals are possible, subject to availability and weather conditions.

• For groups, there are several activity options to choose from. Get in touch!

• It is recommended to pre-book activities and equipment so that we can ensure they are available on your arrival. This also guarantees availability on our guided tours.

 

Brännskärs café Salve 

• Our café is open from June 1st to August 31st, stocked with our famous cinnamon buns, ice cream, soft drinks, beer, and more.

• Our restaurant is open from June 1st to August 31st. We serve lunch soup, pizza and salad. We also serve breakfast for our guests at an additional cost.

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy:

• Payment can be made in advance or on-site. Both cash and cards are accepted.

• Cancellation of your booking without charge must be made at least 14 days before the arrival date. If cancellation occurs later, we will charge 50% of the total price. If the cancellation is made within 7 days before the arrival date, we will charge 100% of the booking.

• In case of acute illness, we require a scanned medical certificate as an email attachment no later than the arrival day to cancel your booking free of charge.
