Living Archipelago offers experiences, accommodation, food and adventure at the heart of the Åboland archipelago. On Brännskär, you can experience the traditional and beautiful archipelago environment and the fishing homestead, all preserved right here on the island. We can tailor make your very own Brännskär experience together, or you can choose to take part in some of the ready planned excursions. The Food
LOCALLY PRODUCED ARCHIPELAGO THEMED FOOD
For groups that book in advance, we can offer our special archipelago menu. Perhaps you want to go on a trip with an association you are a member of, put together a summer party or a company seminar?
Our menu, for which we mainly use local produce, is inspired by tradition and the environment. We can set the table for a fancy dinner party or serve the food on the cliffs by the sea.

Thanks to the history of the island and the old fish smokery, it comes as no surprise that the dish of choice for most of our groups is the smoked fish served with potatoes, a sour cream sauce with herbs and the seasonal salad. To finish it all off, we suggest ordering our specialty Brännskär coffee and a slice of our lemon cheesecake topped with berries.

Please note, that you need to be at least 10 people in a group to order the menu. You will also have to agree among yourselves which dish you choose. We will always have alternatives available for guests with allergies or other dietary requirements.

Activities
TAKE YOUR PICK FROM OUR MANY ACTIVITIES
On Brännskär, you will find many activities and new experiences. Choose the ones that best suit you and your group. You can go kayaking around the islands with an experienced instructor and guide. Rarely do you get an opportunity to come as close to nature as you do when you go kayaking. Alternatively, you can take part in our fun and exciting games and relay races, which we traditionally finish off with an archery contest in the forest.

If you are after a more relaxed experience, we can recommend catching some rays on the cliffs or a guided tour around the homestead and nature trail.

We also have kayaks, SUP boards, rowing boats and fishing equipment for hire.

Accommodation
Extend your stay on Brännskär to get time for even more fun and and relaxation. In our new rental cottages, with all of their amenities, we can now offer space for even bigger groups that can stay for longer.
A handful of cottages, built by hand from local timber, have been placed around one of the island’s most beautiful bays. The cottages have been built close to each other, meaning that a larger group can still get a strong sense of togetherness and community even if you are sleeping in different buildings.

Sauna
Meetings as well as fast-paced games can be rounded up with a nice, relaxing sauna. Book it for the evening and we will make sure the wood-fired sauna is prepared for when you are ready to relax. In connection to the sauna, you will have access to a large terrace, barbeque pit or perhaps the cosy sofas inside the adjacent hut if the weather decides to be that way.
Here you can find some already planned days on Brännskär for you group. The offer stands the whole year if 2019 for groups bigger than 8 people.
